• Our Maker Life (OML)is a global community of makers, crafters, and creatives who share a passion for knitwear, fiber arts, and handmade goods. We connect makers through social media, in-person events, and creative collaborations. With over 100,000 followers on social media and hundreds whom attend our annual meetups, our mission is to inspire creativity and foster a supportive community for crafters around the world.

  • Yes! We regularly host live events that bring together members of the maker community. These events feature workshops, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and more. Typically, our events are attended by around 100 - 200 people, offering a deep and engaging experience for makers to connect, learn, and grow.

When an event is announced, we provide details on how to purchase tickets, event schedules, and what to expect. Our events often sell out quickly, so be sure to keep an eye out for announcements!

  • We love working with event volunteers and see everyone who helps us as a maker valued and essential. All OML volunteers receive complimentary event entry and complimentary kickoff dinner. If interested, please connect with us via email.

  • Yes, they are! If you have food allergies or special dietary needs, we will do our best to accommodate, but if you'd like to bring your own meal during OML event weekend, please send us a heads up via email at events@ourmakerlife.org

  • Absolutely! We love showcasing the work of talented makers from all over the world. To have your work considered for a feature:

    • Tag us @ourmakerlife and use #ourmakerlife

    • Ensure that your post includes a clear photo of your project and provides proper credit if you’re using someone else’s pattern or design. We regularly select and repost content that aligns with our mission of uplifting makers and promoting creativity.

  • We respect the creative rights of all artists. We ensure that all reposted content is credited to the original maker, and we only share content with permission or proper attribution. If you see your work featured on our platform and would prefer it not be shared, please contact us, and we’ll promptly remove it. We never claim ownership of the artwork we repost.

  • Most of our content is shared under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives license, which means:

    • You can share our content for non-commercial purposes, provided you give proper credit to Our Maker Life.

    • You cannot use the content for commercial purposes without permission.
